HOW TO TAKE SCREENSHOTS WITH IPHONE SE

HOW TO TAKE SCREENSHOTS WITH IPHONE SE

Don't worry! If you are used to the old way of taking a screenshot, it is still available to you. First, hold down the WAKE/SLEEP button and, while it is still pressed, click the HOME button. For those of you who are not familiar with this process, the WAKE/SLEEP button is located on the top right of your phone and the HOME button is the circle on the front of the phone. The screen will flash white for a moment, and you will hear the "flash" noise (unless you have your sound turned off).  The screenshot will then appear in your photos app folder. Ready for you to text or email that shot of your tinder dates weird message or your co-workers creepy snap chat. If the noise bothers you, or you don't want your co-workers to know that you're screen snapping while at work, you can turn off the noise in your Settings. I personally like the noise; it brings me back to my pet photography days when I was attempting to catch a shot of fired up beagle puppy spastically running around in the tall grasses. While getting a great screen shot is just so much less challenging, just hearing that "flash" sound gets my adrenaline pumping.Screenshot Iphone 6

The iPhone SE also offers another method for capturing a screen shot. This second method is handy if you want to capture that screenshot but you only have one hand. You'll be surprised because once you know how to capture a screenshot with just one hand, you'll be doing it left and right (but not at the same time, of course). If you need or want to take a screenshot with only one hand, you will need to use Assistive Touch. You can enable Assistive Touch by going to Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> Assistive Touch and toggle Assistive Touch ON. You will see a semi-transparent button added to your screen. This is the Assistive Touch button. Assistive Touch is a great but underused feature.

Click the Custom icon from the options. Then select Screenshot from the list. The screen shot button will be added to the Assistive Touch Menu. You can switch out the screenshot option with others as well at any time. But why would you want to?  No need to retype the entire conversations with your ex to your friend while you're biking.  Just take a one-handed screen shot, shoot off the text, and slip your iPhone SE back into your pocket and continue the climb. You can discuss when you get back to the car. No texting when driving home, though!

Once you have done this, you can then take screenshots anytime by simply tapping on the Assistive Touch button followed by the screenshot button. Just like the two handed screenshot, the screen will flash white followed by the flash noise, and the screenshot will be saved in your photos app folder.
